Melinda Augustina is an actress, author and producer. Her book “Do You Still Laugh? Do You Still Sing? Words and ways to ease your heart when a parent dies.” was first published in 1999 and is being re-designed for e-book and hard copy distribution.
Melinda is one of the producers behind the short film sensation “Three-Fifty”. The comedy about a man trying to weasel out of his late fees at the local video store has played on television in Europe and Africa, enjoyed screenings at over 45 international film festivals and won 5 awards. With continual requests for the film, “Three-Fifty” is playing somewhere in the world almost every month.
Melinda was also lead writer on the television show “Net Talk Interactive”, one of the first shows to be broadcast on radio, tv and intenet simultaneously. Under her writing, the show went on to win Platinum Telly Award in Family/Children Television at Worldfest.
While living in Chicago, Melinda co-authored the children’s audio and coloring book program “Bonnie Blue Rider” with writer Margaret Warnusz. She also wrote one guide-book for babysitters and parents called “The Babysitter’s Journal”. Melinda also developed a private coaching practice focused on helping professionals with presentations, self expression and navigating inevitable life and career transitions.
